Acne Treatment

Medical approach for active acne and scars

Acne is a dermatological condition characterized by clogging of sebaceous glands, bacterial proliferation, and inflammation. It has different types from mild comedones to cystic form. Correct diagnosis of its type is essential for effective treatment.

In active acne period, controlling inflammation, reducing bacterial density, and regulating oiliness are targeted. In mild and moderate cases, topical treatment + mesotherapy + peeling combination is effective.

Acne scars are a separate issue: atrophic (depressed), hypertrophic (raised), and colored (PIE/PIH). Microneedling + PRP for atrophic, cortisone for hypertrophic, mesotherapy + peeling for pigmentation.

Acne is a combination of sebaceous gland clogging, bacterial proliferation, inflammation, and hormone effects. Adolescence, stress, nutrition, hormonal changes, and genetic factors are effective.
Mild acne may decrease over time but scars can be permanent. Moderate and severe acne leaves permanent scars if untreated. Early intervention is very important.
For atrophic acne scars, microneedling + PRP is one of the most effective combinations. 40-60% improvement is seen after 4-6 sessions. Fractional laser is also an option.
4-6 sessions for active acne, 4-8 sessions for acne scars are recommended. Personalized program is determined based on severity of condition.
Yes but mineral-based, non-comedogenic (non-pore-clogging) products should be preferred. Makeup is not recommended for the first 24 hours after application.
Several treatments should be postponed until Roaccutane (isotretinoin) treatment ends. Microneedling, peeling, and laser can begin 6 months after the last dose.
Complete healing is not always possible but 40-70% improvement can be achieved. Realistic expectations are important for medical consultation.
